Looking for a good flashlight?

It seems a good, inexpensive flashlight seems hard to find.  For me, I look for the following:

LED - bulbs burn out, are delicate and go through batteries quickly
Large! - small flashlights may be light, but they are easy to loose
metal housing - more durable
large sized batteries - AAA batteries run out quickly.  I like flashlights that take C-cell.

Home depot has the following http://www.homedepot.ca/product/2-pack-350-lumen-led-flashlights/403680 that seems like a great deal!  2 flashlights for $20!

I'm happy to buy a bunch if there is interest.  Let me know and bring $10 per flashlight.  The troop will cover the taxes...

Scouts are swimming on Tuesday

The scouts are meeting on Tuesday Jan 20, and are heading to the Gretsky center to go swimming!

Scouts are to bring $2 for dues which will be used for admission, and need a quarter to rent a locker.

We are meeting at the church at 6:15, to get rolling by 6:30.  We will need a few parents to drive, as the troop has gotten so large!

We will be returning to the church between 9 and 9:30.


No meeting on Thursday!

Haliburtion week long camp

This is a quick FYI that the Haliburton camp is July 4 to July 11 2015. 

We have done some fund raising, and plan on a few more activities, but any suggestions and help organizing them is always welcome!
