Sunday November 11th, 2018 is Rememberance day and in turn marks the 100th year since the end of World War one. As Canadians and Scouts we should give thanks to all those who serve to protect our freedom in all the conflicts Canadians have participated in.
Without these brave men and women, our country would not be as it is today.

Scouts whom sells more then $85 worth gets to attend All Sections Camp in the Spring for Free.

The funds raised from selling popcorn go towards your scout Activities and Adventures.

APPLE DAY - 2018 

When: Friday October 12th from 6 to 8pm 
            Saturday October 13th from 9am to 11am and 11am to 1pm

Please, wear your uniform, or at least your Scout Shirt.

Please meet at the Church to pick up your apples and find out where your can sell them.

The funds raised go towards your Scouting actvities....Please consider participating.

Permit Camp - 2018

When: October 19th to 21st - 2018
Where: 1057 Charlotteville Rd 7, Walsh, Ontario
Drop off : 6:30pm Friday Oct 19th
Pickup Time:  10:00am Sunday Oct 21st
Cost:  25 (Camp Fee and Food)

Includes: Permission slip (Must be filled out and submitted before attending camp)
                Directions to camp
                Mandatory and Suggested Camp gear and equipment           

Scouts are responsible for packing their own gear and equipment.

Scouts will be sharing a tent with one other Scout, unless you wish to bring your own tent.
A scout tent will be provided to each pair of Scouts
You may bring your own tent if you wish.

The money and permission slip must be submitted to myself or Scouter Amanda by Thursday October 11th, 2018.

Scouts - 2018 to 2019

Welcome New Scouts and Returning Scouts

Hope you had a great summer and are ready for a new exciting scouting year.

Scouts will begin on Thursday, September 20^th at 6:30pm and end at 8:30pm

Currently we have 7 active scouts and 1 pending scout.

For those returning Scouts, Scouter Alex has retired from scouting for now. Hopefully we will see him back in the future.

Scouter Adam is still active, but will not be attending the weekly meetings. We will See Scouter Adam at camps and when we need him.

Myself Scouter Stephen will be advising you on your Scouting Adventures with the help of Scouter Amanda and Scouter Josh.

Church is hosting a Bike Rodeo

On June 21 @ 6pm the church is hosting a Bike Rodeo.

They are looking for excellent volunteers such as all the Scouts to come on out (in uniform).

They will need help running the bike stations and making and serving food.

Scouts will be assisting members of the OPP and the Church.

This is a great community event!

Trip to Rifle Range

This is the Second of our two trips to the Waterford Sportsman's Club.  Scouts will be using a 22 calibre rifle shooting at targets in the indoor range.

WHEN: Wednesday May 16th

TIME:    6:45PM - 9:00PM

WHERE:  Waterford Sportsman's Club 
                     4266 ON HWY 24
                     Scotland, ON

Cost:  $10  (No cost to you, this will be paid from your dues)

Permission forms need to be signed by parent or guardian

We will be meeting at the range on May 16th.  If you are sending a scout with another, please make sure we have a signed permission form.    (I will also have forms at the event to be signed)

When:   May 5, 6

Ride your bike to Christie Lake Conservation Area, camp overnight.

Handout will contain all the details.

Laser Tag - Lazer Mania Hamilton

When: Tuesday March 20th  (no meeting on Thursday)

Where to meet: Church parking lot 6:15PM

Arriving back at the church parking lot between 8:30 - 9:00 PM

No cost to the scouts.
